With this Volume we wanted to really push for three concepts, Reliability, Expandability, and Ease
of Use.

Mold Core
● Brand new threads that are now 4x Start and symmetrical
● New tread angle for faster tightening
● New tread design that drastically reduces print time
● New tread start for better alignment
● The halves are no longer unique, so no more left and right sides
● New snap attachment points with 16 possible mount locations
● Slightly taller core to make up for the attachment points
● Chamfered top for a more comfortable grip with removal
● Optimized alignment channel for less leakage and a faster print
● Modified bottom grip for faster printing
● Expanded bottom profile and rounded ridge for better bed adhesion
● Internal alignment notches for Inner ring alignment and upcoming expansions that are
hidden behind the ring itself
● Removal of the built in ruler as to not leave marks on the final mold from the inverted scale

● Removal of the built in Marker Rail as to no longer need special alignment (See Snap

● Multiple heights for odd projects.
● Replacement of the less used “One-Shot” size with the newer “Solo XL” size that was a late
addition to Vol.2. (“One-Shot” to be revisited as a concept later)
● “Taller” alternative Cores with a bit of extra height (Except for the Solo XL, it is already this

Outer Ring
● Brand new Split Ring design for a tighter fit and easy removal after a silicone spill
● Built in Nut alignment for easy bolt installation
● Print friendly hole design for support less printing
● New easier to print threads for faster printing with better tolerance
● A new knurled texture for better grip on the ring
● Grip ridges for easier Ring removal
● New Tensioning Teeth that “Bite” a lot less
● Redesigned tension for the teeth for a more uniform grip
● Re-chamfered bottoms for better bed adhesion
● (Experimental) Hardware-less Spilt Ring for folks that cant get the right tools
● Old Ring renamed to “Classic” and still included ( just like “Toothless” Options)
● Logo touch up for faster printing
● Re-toleranced for a tighter final fit

Inner Ring
● Added alignment notches for both the bottom and the top ring
● Added Tape Scoring path to the underside of the top ring for much easier tape cutting
● New Low Resistance Ring for a shorter path for excess resin to flow
● New High Tension Ring sets that create an extra flat mold surface with built in tape tensioning
● Keyless Ring for the crazy folks that asked for it

Snap Attachments
● New Universal Snap Attachment System
● Designed to be modular for later expansion
● Updated Marker Rail that is no longer built into the ring allowing it to be placed in several new
spots and removed between steps
● You also no longer need to print maker slides
● (Experimental) Hardware-less Rail for friction fit markers where magnets are not an option
● Standardized bases for ease of printing and reusability

Rulers
● Temporary design to no longer effect the final mold and for easy height readings
● New Multi-color option for Multi-material and Multiplex printers
● “Classic” Embossed Ruler for single material printers
● Hook on design for flat printing to reduce print waste with mult-color and better bed adhesion
when Vertical
● Thin profile to have virtually no effect on its own measurement imposed by it displacing silicone

This is the "Core" set of Vol.3 of The Smith's Forge Dice Mold Making System! This is the starting point for all things Vol.3 Mold maker.

It includes files for the "Solo", "Solo XL", "Full Party" and "Full Party XL".

Full Party XL - This is the larger version of the "Full Party" Dice Mold made to hold an extra large set of Dice. This Mold makes a Large 120 mm silicone mold.

Internal Mold Making Dimensions:

Full Party - This is the larger version of the "Solo" Dice Mold made to hold a standard set of Dice. This Mold makes a standard 100 mm silicone mold.

Solo XL - This was the mold introduced late in Vol.2 to support Goliath dice or "Chonks".
